ht-naimee
Hi all, I own a Toshiba Satellite 2430 notebook and just purchased a MiniPCI card from MSI. It's the MSI MP54G5. Poped it in and WinXP immediatly found it and all the installation went well. However, I cannot get any routers or anything. It seems as though the wireless was still disabled in the notebook. I know from my girlfriends ASUA V6V notebook that you need to activate the wireless function through the hotkeys to get wireless to work. However, when I try to activate the wireless feature with the "Fn+F8" keys nothing happens. It seems that my notebook doesn't want to activate the MiniPCI wireless function for some reason. Does anybody here know what I can do? There must be some kind of override for this stupid wireless feature. Somehow one must be able to permanently activate this card. Don't care about power saving etc. Please help me :)
