Alienware AREA-51M 7700 Related Help

When I go into "MyHive" a Support area on the sitemap for Alienware & select my Video card..

1 | AREA-51M 7700 D900T NVIDIA DDR3 6800FXGO WITH 256MB MODULE

The latest driver they have is... NVIDIA Graphics Driver 8.4.2.6

Now I've had no problems, until I recently started playing WoW again.

I get a blue screen once a week if I'm doing "to much" like chatting on White Wolf & have the game n Window-mode. This is starting to bug me because if you look at my Signature you'll notice the specs for this unit & with the money i put into it you'd think I'd can chat in JAVA & play a game as well.

Now does anyone else here run a Alienware System... & If so, what drivers are you running? & do you game? or multi-task...? If you answer yes please post the Drivers you use or you suggest... So far I had one vote to use the 87.25 drivers... & he stated no problems since they've been installed which is a [month]...

Could anyone help me out here? Just a gamer & chat addict & yes I multi-task up the wazzoo... Please help me understand which would be best... Thanks..

Finaly someone else with an Alienware....Anyway, I use 84.74 for XP Home but for my MCE/Pro partition, I use 84.63. With a GF Go 6800, you can get some crazy overclocks in that m7700 without any cooling upgrades ^_^

Rock-on, glad to see a fellow Alienware person....

Any particular reason you use those specific drivers? I notice that any driver before 84.26 gives me scrolling issues with Java based chats & Java takes longer to load... How do sites Java-based handle on those drivers?

Sorry, I switched them lol.

I use 84.63 for Pro/MCE because its an MCE driver and one of the fastest ive ever seen. I chose 84.74 because its pretty fast and also an official Alienware driver. I also had that issue with scrolling in Java apps so thats also part of why I recomended these.
