out of that list, the Core Duo would be the best, though, Core 2 Duo is a newer version and gives (a bit) more performance! It also is 64bit, which might become quite handy in the future ... :)

Any newer laptops should come with merom core 2 duos, if not you can probably run a core 2 duo in them.

I don't know how you can put that AMD crap on the list, or the clearly old and inferior Pentium D technology.

You actually think the mobile core 2 duo can outperform a desktop level 940 cpu in power?

If you are talking about the 940 mentioned here atleast some of the Core 2 Duo CPUs can outperform it. (even laptop varients)

If not then overclocked they certainly will.

Also pretty much any core duo laptop should now support the core 2 duo CPUs or come with them even.
