SpacemanSpiff
Hey all, Ive got a Dell Inspiron 9300 with 2.0ghz M, 2gb ram, and a geforce go 6800 (just regular, not ultra). I was wondering if there were any way to get a go 6800 ultra, or a go 7800 (gtX), or even possibly a go 7900. Anyone have any info if any of these GO cards can replace my 6800 and what process id have to go through to do it (flash bios etc.) Thanks guys
anachreon_
Also looking for an answer to this question. Any help would be great - haven't been able to find a place to buy the 7800 anywhere, including as a spare part from Dell.
zzpulp
I'm on dialup right now so I cannot give a direct link but hop over to www.notebookforums.com ...then go to dell 17+ inch notebooks and do a search for "9300 7800" and you will find the post detailing the process...You will need a cracked XPS2 bios (the link in the post is dead i think) that you can find on google and make bootable in a variety of ways (bart's method, usb, etc), a 130 W power adapter, and a 9 cell battery...
