Powermizer Problem

Hi, All,

This is my first post so I'll make it plain and simple. I wonder if you guys have noticed that after plugging your AC adapter back into your laptop, powermizer won't restore to Maximum Performance even if you set it to do so from the Nvidia control panel manually.

You may test it out by running a game like Counter-Strike:Source or Unreal Tournament and you'll see the framerate dropped significantly. Appearantly, Powermizer recognizes the power source status correctly in the control panel since the Nvidia Display Driver Service is running in the background. But, it just doesn't do what it was set to do. I have to manually restart my laptop in order to restore to the Maximum Performance.

Is this some kind of bug from the driver? Does any of you know any solution or the workaround to solve this problem. The driver that I'm using is 84.26 from Asus and my graphic card is Geforce Go 6600. Please feel free to comment.

Thanks guys.

It's one classic issue of modded drivers... but OEM ones should at least allows to use all the features on your laptop.

When you say that you use Asus driver do you mean that it's an official driver from Asus or the modded driver you got from LV2Go?

The Asus driver I'm using is the latest official driver I downloaded directly from Asus's website. I know that it's supposed to work properly but it's disappointing to see this little problem. Have you tried any official driver that works perfectly? Thanks for your reply.

One of the main reason I'm using an official Dell driver is the FULL support of the mobile features of the GPU.
