Guest jicc
I really need help. I have an old toshiba. 5005 series. S507. I was formatting my hard drive, and when i was installing the last recovery and apliccattions CD, this was corrupted, and the installations was terminated. Since then i can´t install any OS. I have try with other windows CD´s but my laptop just read the CD´s that came with my laptop. So, 1. i can´t install the original recovery CD´s because the third is damaged. 2.- I can´t find another CD 3. 3.- My CD_ROM doesn´t read any other CD rather than the originals. Is there any solution? Do i need a driver to read other windows xp in my CD-ROM? I´m actually living in small town, so i have not access to any toshiba service. Thanks... Fabrice Roux
Try to make a copy of the corrupted CD from another computer. If it's too damaged... look for a genuine Windows XP CD and do the install from it. You'll probably have to download some extra drivers from the Toshiba website. If yo had to download only 2 this would be both chipset and network adapter drivers... So you can get the PC back online to download the rest.
