Hi everyone I'm new to this so bear with me please. i have a sony vgc-v2s desktop pc running xp sp2 on a p4 3.2 ghz with 1gb ram. It has an nvidia geforce fx go5700 graphics card 128 mb The driver it is using is 6.2.1.0 dated 7/7/04. It has always played the highest spec games until now, splinter cell double agent is its downfall. On the games spec screen it says i need ' shader model 3.0 or higher' and i only have 2.0 and it fails the driver version but does not tell me what driver i need. I have tried nvidia's download site but with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank-you.

Shader model is not driver related... it' hardware, so no matter what, it's not going to work. Personally in the FX series I've had the best luck with 67.02 or something like it. I don't really think you need to update your driver though.

Shader Model 3.0 means GeForce 6xxx and up... given the game you are talking about... aim for at least a 7600 GT.
