GeForce Go 6600 Screen Resolution Issues

Hi,

I just bought a Gateway 22" monitor with native resolution 1680 x 1050 (Model is FPD2275W) for my Toshiba M40 laptop that has an nVidia GeForce Go 6600 card with a native resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels. I did not realize the issue until I hooked it all in.

Is there a new driver for my GPU that supports a higher resolution? Or am I stuck with the lower res which doesn't really look nice on this monitor.

I am really bummed and could use some help finding the answer. There was nothing on the nVidia site.

Thanks very much!!

* If your screen came with a driver CD, use it.

* Check this thread for a recommended driver.

* Use Powerstrip if all else fails.
