CDBURNEI2 Posted January 11, 2007 Report Share Posted January 11, 2007 I got a 2.0GHz cpu for my Dell and I am cleaning the heatsink and i notice a thin piece of silvery metal. Is that part of the old thermal compund or is it a necessary shim? I wanna use Arctic Thermal paste and need to know how to proceed with the cleaning....Any advice? Sorry about the double post.
