Guest Chris G
I'll be getting a new MacBook Pro, with the 8600M GT......
mundizzle
I just got one of the new MacBook Pro's - 15 inch, 2.4GHz. I installed Vista Ultimate but I can't get it to recognize the GPU, it just says Standard VGA. Installing the NVidia drivers doesn't work - it says no compatible hardware found. PS: sorry bout the mistaken post above Edited June 7, 2007 by mundizzle

TheHunted
Samsung R70 Aura T7300 Despina is also not listed, but should be the same as build in the Devin ->8600M GS
Fabrice Roux
I was interested in the new Dell Inspiron 1720 8600M GT but the very poor connector placement and the no DVI out killed it. It's a 17" laptop that has only 4 connectors on the back. Having the VGA and Ethernet connectors on the side is IMHO pretty stupid. My current laptop is wide wide wide... thanks fully I don't need extra room on the side to fit and secure the major connectors. What will be the next iteration? Power, RJ45, USB in the front? mobilenvidia
Dell are making room to put the media buttons on the back, will this make you happy :)
zipper
Wouldn't care less about go8600 or lesser; Fujitsu promises about 2000 on 3DMark06, no more than what go7600 or go6800 do....
kadett_2k7
There are also: Zepto Znote 3414W - (based on the Compal IFT00) - Black - 8400M 256MB - 14" - 1280x800 Zepto Znote 3415W - (based on the Compal IFL90) - Black - 8600M GT 512MB - 15.4" - 1280x800 Zepto Znote 6224W - Black - 8600M GT 512MB - 14.1" - 1440x900 Zepto Znote 6324W - White - 8600M GT 512MB - 14.1" - 1440x900 Zepto Znote 6625WD - Black - 8600M GT 512MB - 15.4" - 1680x1050 Zepto Website The reason I'm not linking to certain specs are because you can customize the machine just like with Dell machines, so there is no configuration that is "the one". They are using a "built to order" concept where you configure the machine as you want it for your needs and not like the company wants to sell it. zipper
Zepto Znote 6625WD - Black - 8600M GT 512MB - 15.4" - 1680x1050 Seems to promise about 3500 points on 3DM06 at 1440x900, probably the card is not as crippled as on the Amilo. mobilenvidia
Excellent, added to list, and best thing is Zepto use our INFs for their driver support :)

Zer0.
There is another new Santa Rosa based laptop with 8600M GT, "Compal IFL90+". There are also some other Compal models; IFL90, IFT00 and Z96S. I can't find these machines on compal's homepage, but I'm currently sitting here with a IFL90+ and can't find a driver with DX10 support (running Vista 64bit). Driver cd was "homemade" from the retailer and only contained 32bits drivers. Nice if you could add these laptops when they get published on Compal's homepage. :)
Guest Entonic
Z96S isn't a Compal. it is produced for multicom by ASUStek.

halcyon1234
The Dell Inspiron 1420 comes with the (optional) NVidia GeForce Go 8400m GS. I found some drivers that installed (will post version number later, don't have laptop on hand). But the secondary display isn't recognized with those drivers. Or at the least, it is recognized under Display Settings, but not by the Nvidia utility. (And plugging into the SVideo just gives garbled static)
