shiggs
So the interesting thing is the overall 3dmark is the same, but the CPU is lower and sm 2 & 3 changed. I probably had some extra processes running, but whatever. H.264 & VC-1 acceleration is now available, and thats what I was looking for so I keep these for now and test stability. btw - the hardware vendor string for this card is: %NVIDIA_G71.DEV_0299.1% = nv4_mobile, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0299
Guest timbiotic
How did you upgrade the drivers from the factory ones from the website? When I try it says hardware not supported. Thanks, timbiotic

Guest timbiotic
Anyone have luck with other drivers for this card? I noticed nvidia has really mucked up the download now so it is very hard to get drivers.
Guest letsgetsilly
Anyone have luck with other drivers for this card? I noticed nvidia has really mucked up the download now so it is very hard to get drivers. I'm confused...recently got a HP laptop with Quadro M512 graphics in it. Can't find drivers for it on nvidia's site. From this thread i gather that it is actually a geforce go 7900 GTX? Should I be able to download these drivers from nvidia.com and it will work? Looking for the best support possible for h.264 and vc-1. Oh, and of course games.
