ajdto234
It seems like I have managed to install my nvidia drivers correctly but the windows experience index is low due to the directx version, as you can see on http://www.towfeek.se/vista/performance.jpg Even though I get the latest updates for directx and install it from microsoft homepage it seems like it doesn't take any effect. I can run the install a 100 times, still it will copy the same files over and over again, and it will still say under windows experience that my directx version is 8 or earlier. What's up with that?!? And when I try to run 3DMarks06 test it bails out with the error message "IDirect3DDevice9::Present failed: n/a (Unknown)" Something is seriously wrong, anyone have a clue what I should do? Regards //ado Have you tried installing drivers from this site? I mean it still says you have the crap VGA driver Vista installs. I have a 7600go in my DV9000 too and i get a rating of 4.8 and 4.7 in the graphics areas.
ajdto234
Have you tried installing drivers from this site? I mean it still says you have the crap VGA driver Vista installs. I have a 7600go in my DV9000 too and i get a rating of 4.8 and 4.7 in the graphics areas. Yes, I've tried a few even, right now I have the latest 100.59 for 64 bit vista. It installs proper but still it won't work proper. When I check under the Device Manager, it says that I have Geforce Go 7600. It's wierd, I'm starting to think that it's the brand of the laptop that sucks, I have a Zepto Znote 6615WD which probably isn't the most common laptop. One other wired thing is that even though I try to update my index it will say "New hardware found, you need to update your score", and it just won't go away. The Nvidia driver from this site IS installed. This s*** makes me go nuts!#"%#¤ Can anyone bless me with a solution? :)
ajdto234
Can sombody say what it says under "Display adapter type" on their machines? http://www.towfeek.se/vista/performance.jpg As you can see at top under graphics it says NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 but under Display adapter type further down it says Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. Is it suppose to say that? I have installed the latest 100 series from this site with the modded inf-file.
