Usires
Installed it a few mins ago, runs great so far. Halo runs smoother in windowed mode, Lord of the Rings Online seems to have fewer "hiccups" while turning the camera. Nvidia Control Panel is almost complete now, the scaling-option finally has returned! Great drivers, I'm going to runs some benchmarks in der afternoon. Matt Sharpe
Desktop (6800LE): can't tell any difference. Dreamscene uses 80-100% CPU :) Laptop (Go5200): meh, same as the other 100-series drivers - screen fills with garbage whenever it drops out of Aero e.g. at secure desktop. useless. i'm starting to wonder if they will ever properly support the 5 series GPUs that were originally listed as properly Vista compatible. they are certainly powerful enough to do aero - when it works, it works really well! there's just always been other problems. Loricatus
Has anyone tested these with a 512MB Go7600 on a HP dv9000t? I've gone through just about all driver iterations from the 97.55 to 100.59, all with mostly the same results (occasional BSOD on startup, frequent "nvlddmkm has stopped responding" errors). I switched back to 100.30, which seems to be the "most stable", if you can call it that. How does this version rank up?
illmatic
Honestly, for our Go cards, the 97.46 are the best stable drivers in my opinion. The 100 series is mainly for newer cards such as the 8800's and high end 7 series. HP just released the 97.46 for Vista on their page, try using those. Loricatus
HP just released the 97.46 for Vista on their page, try using those. I did try those... those were just as bad and crashy. I just installed 100.64, and so far they appear to be working just fine. I am still having minor issues with certain things (e.g. Oblivion becomes garbled on full-screen), but at least I am not crashing *crosses fingers*. Suki
Doesn't work for my 7900 go :) go back on 100.
draconmythica
These new drivers are working great for me. They are the first ones to not disable my second card upon install.... of course it would be nice to have sli back... but I'm sure we're still feeling very patient about that. I will say though that Oblivion is working again and it hasn't for the last four or five releases so thats a plus. Thanks mobile nvidia and all the other members that work hard to get all the new versions. :)

Thanks mobile nvidia and all the other members that work hard to get all the new versions. :) This revision seems to be a lot more stable than the previous ones. I've rebooted several times, and no BSOD's so far. I did get a nvlddmkm.sys not responding error when I launched Oblivion, but it actually recovered nicely for a change. Still trying to figure out why I am getting a completely garbled screen whenever I launch games in full-screen... maybe something to do with display scaling? As a side note, the control panel didn't seem to save my settings.
Byrds6
I have a DV9000t with the 7600go 512 meg card and Vista Ultimate 64bit installed and the 64bit version of these drivers are fine. I havent had any BSOD or anything. The only tihng i have had problems with is the brightness not keeping its setting and such. It runs EQ2 smoothly other than in windowed mode. It is a bit glitchy then.
Netman66
You know, 97.46 have been the best drivers to date for the Go5200. I can't understand why nVidia is so far behind on these. Vista RTM has been available to them since October of last year. ATI has ported almost (if not all) of their drivers over. It makes me think that nVidia is being run out of a garage some place. The FX 5xxx series cards are Vista Ready according to their website. Most nVidia cards in laptops that are in the hands of Businesses (where Vista first released) are 5xxx series cards. If Microsoft wants businesses to upgrade, then they better get on nVidia's case since they're the showstopper now. I can't convey my disappointment strong enough. :)
Nolan
Maybe I missed this, but is this the "next version" of the driver that supports SLi for the Go 7x00 Series?
BlackMamba213
This driver isn't too bad. But the menu takes a long time to load? My AGP says 0 for some reason. Is that Microsoft saying there isn't any pipes? Aero runs fine but, Still notice considerable decrease in overall system performance compared to XP. Even with all the bells and whistles turned off. The background services are what's killing this OS. Haven't had the BLOD yet, I don't understand how that happens to you guys. Last time I saw that was in 98. tylerdurden
On my Amilo M3438G the fan speed is always 100%. The service Nvidia Display is in automatic but after start it stops in 2 seconds and give me a message that said the service is stopped because is not used!!! :) Any suggestion/solution to make fan works correctly? mh8
Unfortunately you're not going to find anything that will properly support a geforce 4 series in vista. Sorry mh8. :) On the other hand these new drivers are working great for me. :) lol why do they have the driver (geforce4 440 go 32mb) in the driver package (modded inf) when the driver doesn't work correctly....i can't undersatnd this.... Byrds6
There are very few companies that are ready for the Vista OS. Sad to say that it is not just Nvidia who are way behind and acted like they had no clue Vista was going to be released. The lack of drivers has happened across the board with almost all companies. Its sad that they didnt take advantage of the time they had and now have to scramble to make sure that the consumers have somewhat of a working driver. llBlackenedll
I on't get the people saying to use the 97 drivers, all the 90 series drivers I tried for Vista were very poor. I got a 250% performance boost in the HL2 Lost Coast stress test and also a huge boost in Fear when I went from 97.46 to the 100.57 drivers. Looking forward to trying these 100.64 drivers when I'm home, though stilll no official mobile 100 series drivers :)
Area51m-7700
Overclocking is possible with nTune.....well, sorta of. 450/1080 is factory default for my card, and nTune even told me that my card failed at those clocks :) Gonna have to wait and see what happens! :)
Guest jtzako
The very odd thing about this driver that the previous driver didnt do is that in certain games (Like vanguard) I cannot see weather effects anymore. Fog, rain etc do not play.
draconmythica
Maybe I missed this, but is this the "next version" of the driver that supports SLi for the Go 7x00 Series? :) No...see what they meant was "next" as in not this one. A more accurate description would have been "This isn't an SLI driver, but the one we finally make with SLI will be so get over it". That doesn't so much imply next release as is does eventual release. :) Edited February 17, 2007 by draconmythica
draconmythica
Well most of the people here have newer cards and probably didn't realize it didn't work for pre GF 4 ones. I looked into it a bit though and it looks like some of the older beta drivers will work for the 440, specifically version 97.35 which you can find at: http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/index....showtopic=12058. Hope that works for you.

Flex
After having problems with the 100.65 drivers, I tried these and they are working very well. Haven't BSOD'd or anything yet (which happened occasionally with the "official" drivers released on the HP site). Since this is my first post, I'd also like to say thanks for all great work here. I've been coming to this site for awhile and it's been a godsend.
