Problem Using Have Disk Method

Hi guys, really sorry about this but I cant seem to be able to install 84.25 (64bit XP).

* Laptop Make/Model -- Sony Vaio VGNS4XP

* Graphics Card -- 6200 with turbocache

* Current Driver Version -- Unknown. The original driver, as I've never updated it.

* Last Useable Driver Version -- N/A

* Operating System -- XP pro SP2

* An accurate description of the issue at hand

When following the Have Disk method, at the step where you have to locate the inf file, and I click OK, I come out with:

"The specified location does not contain information about your hardware"

I have followed the instructions step by step, so I haven't got a clue what the problem may be. I'm sure it will be something simple or stupid that you'll be able to pick up straight away :)

Thanks for any help or advice

regards, Robert

Hi Robert...Im having a similar issue except that I cant even download the .inf file from the laptopvideo2go site. it only comes up as text on the screen...i would copy and paste but i dont know what to name the .inf file or where to put it during the install.

maybe if you have had success in downloading the .inf file you could tell me what to NAME the .inf.....the i could then try the install on my system and see if i have better results and we can compare notes.

thanks

You are coping and pasting the modded .inf file into the 84.25 folder right?

Right-clck and "save as" on the modded inf link, this will save it as a .inf file to your computer.
