Hi there , Acer Aspire 1524 , after changed video adapter from fx go5700 to fx go5300 ( in warranty period) , things not working properly so , I decided to give a try to a bios update , I downloaded version 1.09 from acer website, and did it. Then after rebooting the machine beeps 1 long and 2 short beeps. And nothing more happens. Can anyone tell me what version I should put till now I tried 1.09 and 1.11 . Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Put back the old video adapter and flash it with the default BIOS. The BIOS flashes also the video card, so you had the wrong one than the default one, so the bios in the video card got corrupted.

bye

Ok now the laptop is booting and loadin windows ( i can hear the windows start sound) but still no video , so from where I can download bios for this card fx go5300.

I've checked here http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/index.php?showtopic=6310 but can't see a download link.

So please PM me if some have a bios backup from fx go5300

thanks
