whitetigerx7
Just like other "stop asking topics" this one will help a lot of people so read it and don't complain. Windows XP 32/64bit (All versions) DirectX 8.0 compliant video card with 16mb VRAM Nvidia GeForce 4x00 series or higher ATi Radeon 8x00 series or higher Windows Vista 32/64bit (All versions) DirectX 9.0 compliant video card Nvidia GeForce 5x00 series or higher ATi Radeon 9x00 series or higher Video requirements for each is restricted due to what those OSes support visually so if your video card is older or has a lower version number, don't complain. Also, MX brand GeForces and radeon 7x00 series card are not supported by any operating system after Windows 2000 because all are DirectX 7.0 compliant cards ONLY. While ATi and Nvidia have released newer drivers that support DirectX 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, and 9.0, along with OpenGL 2.1 these cards do not accelerate these DirectX features. If you use any of these older cards and they do not meet the requirements, they will not work regardless of any driver you attempt to install. If you can't use these systems then stick to what you have and upgrade you system. Don't waste time and money trying to get a card to work for an operating system that will not support it and then come and cry about it. Harsh as that may sound, you will be told the same thing above.
