pida
Hi there, I have a samsung M70 (19") with an integrated go6600 and 128 mb memory. I am using it now with vista ultimate. I can install your drivers but the display stays black. So I have to switch off the notebook, to restart in save mode and to remove the driver again. At least I can install the last xp-driver from samsung, but it does not integrate in vista and it has a very poor performance. Here is the link to that driver: http://www.samsungpc.com/products/m70/m70_...rteddrivers.htm. Maybe you can learn from that driver, what to change. I would be more than happy to donate, if someone can fix that issue. Best regards, thanks a lot for your feedback / investigation, pida

Guest hyp3rkd
Why can't I install these drivers on my machine. I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 with a Nvidia GeForce Go 6800. When i run setup it says that it can't locate any drivers that are compatiable?? Please help, Iam trying to fix the issue where my fan is always stuck on 100%, it is annoying as hell. currysteph
Every driver has an .inf file associated with it as it installs ...IF your video card version isnt included in the .inf file then the install will stop and give you that message. Thats why all the driver pages have a link for the MODDED inf file which usually includes most video cards. (you'd have to look at the .inf file in notepad.exe and so a FIND to see if your video card is listed in the modded.inf file.) So in short you would need to download the .inf file from the same page that you downloaded the video driver and REPLACE the .inf that came with the driver download after you unpack it. then install the video driver with the modded .inf file in the unpacked setup file folder as normal. DOWNSIDE...at the moment the modded.inf files arent "downloading" from laptopvideo2go.....not sure what the problem is with that... steph
Davhen
Hi mobilenvidia. First of all, sorry for my english, i´m from Spain and it isn´t my native lenguagge. I´m writting you this message because i think you could help me. I´ve a laptop very similar at yours, with the nvidia geforce go 7900 gs but with vista premium operating system working on it. I bought my laptop two weeks ago, and i´m having problems with my graphic card since there. When i use some 3d aplications, those programs don´t detect the open GL of my card and the screen starts trembling all the time, also when i go to the nvidica 3d control panel. I think this is happening cause i haven´t the aproppiate drivers of my card for vista 32 bits. I have been surfing the web a lot trying to find a drivers solution, and Dell support doesn´t help too much. I hope you can help me. Is there any driver that works well in my operatting system?. Thanks a lot from Spain mobilenvidia. Dave.
Guest currysteph
Hi Dave not sure if I can help you much as the problem i was having with my system was because of a windows service that was loading and causing me trouble. you say you have problems with SOME programs. and since these program are looking for your Open GL I would assume its one of two things. 1. you need to update your video driver....which I think you probably have already done. 2. the programs you have may not be vista ready yet...in which case you will have to wait OR see if the company has a patch for their program. You might try several video drivers as each driver is a little different and one may solve your problems even if its not the newest driver. hope this help some...i know its not a good answer steph

Download the modded inf and copy in it into the folder were you extracted the contents of the driver download. google dell fan control and download the app- works great shows temps and allows you to change the fan settings. Also I'd check to see if your vents are clogged. Dell provides the service manual on their website if you're leary about cracking your unit open. Guest hyp3rk1d
Alright thanks for the info.. I have another problem however. My laptops graphic card fan will not stop running in vista..... I have been searchin the internet and found people with similar problems and they say its a driver issue with Nvidia. The card thinks that vista is a 3d game and ocnstantly runs the fan at highspeed... as you can imagine this makes the computer very loud/annoying... My question is there any recently released drivers from this site that addresses that problem?? Thanks
Guest yami
yeah i've repeatedly tried to download this driver for my NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 card, and whenever i go to install it, first it says there are no drivers compatible with my hardware (NOT actually the case, as far as i can tell!); then windows vista pops up with an option to "retry installation with recommended settings" and this second install attempt results in getting another error dialogue saying that the driver is meant for Vista 32-bit and cant be installed because the operating system i have is not Vista 32 (again, not the case) here's my OS and graphics card info OS Name Microsoft® Windows Vista? Guest Guest
hey, i have the GO 7900 GS .... if i install this driver (with the modded inf of course), will my fans still run fine and everything? im scared to do all this because i have read that sometimes installing drivers with modded infs can affect the fans in a bad way. anyone know? Guest Tobi
I've got the 7900GS too and I installied this driver one week ago with a modded inf which typically belongs to another driver (160.03 I think...) You have to change the one line where the serial number of the driver is written (what exactly you have to do is described on the first page of this thread). So far the driver works very well on my system (DELL XPS M1710) and it even solved my video problem with VLC... So I suppose the fans should be still workin :) tobi

Guest Tobi
You mean the VLC-problem? ...yeah, if i chose openGL as videorenderer i got a heavy stuttering (much more often than every 5sec) and if i chose another rendering-driver i got a black picture or any other useless output... now it seems like the video hangs sometimes a little, but if I don't care about I don't recognize...
