7900 GTX GO, BSOD on any new game

Hypersonic Aviator EX7 Laptop

Running 32bit XP, 7900 GTX go.

Loads games fine to menus, even plays starting movies, but whenever the game actually loads to where you get to play, I almost always get a BSOD immediately, or very soon after I start running around. (Have tested on Oblivion, WoW and Hit Man Blood Money, all the same thing.)

BSOD reads:

***STOP: 0x0000008E (0xc0000005, 0xBFCDD18C, 0x98216ABC, 0x00000000)

*** nv4_disp.dll - Address BFCDD18C base at BF9d5000, DATESTAMP 45d28707

Now on older games like Dues Ex it runs just fine, and I have even noticed oblivion will play out if I keep at the default medium setting (ewwwww)

I have tried many different drivers, including the ones you guys recommend. I have 84.63 (bad) 94.22 (bad) and 84.69 (played oblivion at medium at least)

Anyone have any other suggestions? Or am I stuck playing games at crappy resolution forever? :) :)

(note: sorry about typos and grammar, im really tired and have been messing with this crap for hours >.<)

EDIT: Oblivion played out just fine in the highest non widescreen resolution in windowed mode (1600 x something) but crashed in full screen mode.

All widescreen resolutions cause a crash, but non widescreens can be played in windowed mode.... Im at such a loss.

(yes my screen is widescreen :P )

Ug this is killing me.

So I let it sit overnight with oblivion in 1600 x 1200 (non widescreen) with all other settings maxed out, and it did just fine, (sat next to a fire and some other pretty graphical changing stuff.) This was in fullscreen.

BUT the second I try go to a widescreen resolution (even if its lower than 1600 x 1200) I get the BSOD.

WHYYYYYY would it hate widescreen resolutions sooo much?
