anachreon_
Hey all, any help appreciated. I have a Dell Inspiron 9300, with a GeForce Go 6800 / 256 in it. Its stock speeds are 290 clock / 590 memory. Up until recently, I'd been overclocking it to 320 / 700 quite happily and enjoyed the performance gains. However, I upgraded my drivers using drivers and a modded inf from this web site (as usual) and the overclocking feature simply stopped working. I could change the clock speeds and "Test" them, and the card would pass, but as soon as I hit "apply," the speeds revert to the default. I've tried a number of drivers (rolled back to older drivers as well) and the problem is persistent now. Anybody know what's up? The thing worked fine before. I'm currently using Forceware version 101.09.
zipper
I made some trials with 1xx.xx drivers, but went back to 97.92 or 97.95 which do overclock at least via RivaTuner. The 1xx.xx drivers tend to give problems with video, at least with wmv for me.

zzpulp
I would recommend uninstalling drivers with driver cleaner and then reinstalling either 84.25 or 87.25. There's really no need to use the newer drivers with the 6800 series except if you want purevideo.

Nothing changed, the o/c still won't stick. Thanks.
zzpulp
Did you do this? Uninstall driver -> reboot in safe mode -> run driver cleaner -> reboot -> install new drivers Also, you arent changing any lines in the INF are you?
zipper
I didn't have sticking problems with 84.25 etc, they came persistent with 100.xx and over. But sometimes you just can't get OC to stick, even if others do. My recipe has been to try the next version of the driver; 84.26 probably, it's even a bit faster. And RivaTuner instead of Control Panel.
