Birdie
I'm new to benchmarking and have tried to benchmark using 3DMark06. I got around 950 but understand that it should be somewhere nearer 2000. I was hoping there was an easy explantion for this HUGE gap. I tried to turn off the turbocaching to see if that helped but I haven't been able to. I have tried different drivers and am currently using the 97.55 Alienware ones. Any ideas? Try making sure that your laptop is not in any kind of power saving mode. I had similar problems with Vista, my laptop was in "Power Saver" mode and once I kicked it up to "Performance" mode by benchmarks were OK.
