mobilenvidia
For Aero to work to first must have a working WDDM driver (the driver either included or found by Windows update) Uninstall the driver then see if Windows update can find a driver. If it can this should allow Aero to work. Now try updating the driver. If Windows did not install with a driver ot can't find then then you might be out of luck with Aero. I see you have a custom build laptop this could be your downfall. Hope you can get it to work.
Radon
well i uninstalled the graphic card driver 2 times and then it says now it have to restart, as soon as its restarted + rebooted, the driver was included again...but on the hardware monitor it does not even show 7950 gtx the names ther just "standard agp-graphic adapter" or something :/
mattman
It sounds to me like you are running off generic VGA drivers. To run Aero, you will need to update your drivers to a set such as in this thread. If unsure, please follow the instructions below. http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/index....showtopic=11997 PS- I installed Vista last night too, and had to update video card drivers before I could use Aero Glass
mobilenvidia
well i uninstalled the graphic card driver 2 times and then it says now it have to restart, as soon as its restarted + rebooted, the driver was included again...but on the hardware monitor it does not even show 7950 gtx the names ther just "standard agp-graphic adapter" or something :/ The problem with your setup is Vista doesn't recognise you manufacturer. Vista has a list of GPU's that it has drivers for, but they are manufacturer specific. When Vista detects one of the OEM's GPU's it will install it's internal WDDM driver or grab an update. Vista is ery fussy what it installs with drivers, you will probably have lots of problems. What is your make of Laptop ? is it Clevo based. Sager just now has released a Vista driver for some of it nV based laptops. This may help you out, only if your lappy is Clevo based.
