s-video output problems - quadro fx 2500m

I'm having a nightmare of a time trying to get my laptop to output to my tv using the s-video output. I can't even find where to select 'TV' as an option. I've also tried turning off the laptop, connecting the s-video to the TV turning on the TV and then turning on the laptop. I'm going out through the s-video port into a 7pin s-video to rca adaptor and then from an rca cable into the TV. The sager helpdesk guy is saying I need a 4 pin s-video to rca adaptor but is that going to help?

I've attached a screenshot which shows the options I have (I'm sure I should be able to select TV somewhere). I also noticed that the quadro fx 2500m has pretty dismal support when it comes to official drivers. I couldn't find a new version on the nvidia site and had to download one from the sager website.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated, this is driving me nuts!
