dd_rabbit
I tried out all links :) Can anyone send me the correct link or the news file
Pawel
Hey dd_rabbit, apparently the reason for the links not working is due to an unwanted redirect. They told me it would be fixed soon although they can't say for definite when :) Edited March 10, 2008 by Pawel

Guest Randomrat
:) I am REALLY stuck here. Basically, I downloaded the Atheros thing and I went into the add hardware utility in the Control Panel. I then ran the .inf file and it came up with all the drivers. But i couldn't find the driver for the WG311T. So i decided just to run any one, but it came up with an error saying that the device will not start up. What am I supposed to do? Ive looked around on google to see, but all there is is the same thing. Oh and by the way, I have the actual WG311T driver which doesn't work installed at the same time. Could that be affecting it. I wouldnt think so. :)
Guest bennett
Make sure you google and find out which chipset the wg311t uses. I have a wpn311 and this uses ar5004g. Sop i grabbed these and installed it as a ar5004g. Signal has dropped a little, but im on x64, and netgear drivers are BETA still. These seem fine to me , and artheros update a fair bit too :)
Guest kqmaverick
I had an issue with the latest .48 drivers, they caused my Audio to start Crackling/Popping. I was forced to revert to the good old 1.15 NMI fix version.
Pawel
It has been fine for me to just use the latest modded inf and replace the version info. Haven't experienced an NMI parity error or connection issue since :)

Guest ChrisM
Is anyone else having trouble reconnecting to a wireless network if the router/AP is reset? I have tried every driver here to no avail. When I make a change to the wireless router (WGL-4500), it must reboot for the changes to take effect. However, the DWA-552 I have will not immediately reconnect and struggles to get an IP after it does reconnect. It normally takes approximately 90 seconds for it to re-associate to the router and if I leave it long enough (6 minutes), it will typically get an IP address. I've lost too many hours of my life troubleshooting this. Anyone here run across this situation? Running Vista Ultimate x64, DWA-552 and WGL-4500 (WPA2 security). Thanks in advance. Anarion
Does anyone happen to know if there are any drivers for D-link DWA-547 (desktop PCI adapter) for Vista x64? I haven't found anything that would work.
mobilenvidia
Does anyone happen to know if there are any drivers for D-link DWA-547 (desktop PCI adapter) for Vista x64? I haven't found anything that would work. All the 7 series drivers support your PCI card ATHR.DeviceDesc.DWA547 = "D-Link DWA-547 RangeBooster N650 Desktop Adapter" The driver should install as is. The modded driver should also work. But you need to install via Control Panel Device properties update driver, just point it to the dir with the files you've just downloaded
Anarion
Yeah but there's a but, it always gives error code 10 or 39 and it does not automatically pick it up. I have to manually force it to install because it says Windows can not verify if it is compatible. By the way, I think that it's based on AR5008X if that helps (you might know that already but anyway). mobilenvidia
The unmodded drivers should work from the box. My modded ones will do what you see, as I specialise in AR5008x and now 982x chipsets. I'll look into adding more support for the other chipset in 2 weeks or so, remind if I havn't done so by then
Anarion
By the way, I tried modded v7.6.0.83 driver and it picked AR5008X automatically without need to force it but the problem is still there: error code 10 device can not start. Anarion
Byaaah! :) Still doesn't work on D-link DWA-547 in Vista x64. :)
mobilenvidia
It should be supported as it's in the INF as such ATHR.DeviceDesc.DWA547 = "D-Link DWA-547 RangeBooster N650 Desktop Adapter"
Anarion
It does not automatically install the driver because Vista can not verify that it is compatible with it an it gives error code 10 when I force install it. I really do not know why it does not work.
Guest atheros
where can i find atheros wireless client software?
Pawel
If I remember correctly, Atheros 7.3.1.073 came bundled with WLanMon 5.0.0.439. There might be a newer version of WLanMon available somewhere though.
Guest BirdOfPrey
I found version(5.0.0.439) of the WlanMon utility here: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/153268 I did not know this utility until now...I tried on my laptop with a AR5007EG and some fields get filled and updated on transmit/receive and the monitor does not work with the driver version i have, that is 7.4.2.57, from windows update.
