There is a thread noting how windows update causes problems, but this is a tad more instant. In particular, I download some new drivers, update the inf, install, restart, and the system boots up with 98.09 (the most recent drivers from dell). This is on a Dell XPS M1710, running Vista 32bit, Go 7950GTX. I also tried updating it by browsing for drivers through device manager - but vista just tells me that that I already have the "best" drivers installed after looking in a folder with newer drivers. If someone can point me to something as far as why this is hapenning or how to fix it, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
