Guest Marcus Posted September 10, 2007 Report Share Posted September 10, 2007 I installed the latest Nivida drivers from this site with modified INF on my Dell 1420 with the NVidia 8400 GS, it seemed to work good and even gave better performance. Open the lid or wake it from standby mode, the screen doesn't turn back on. It just stay black. You can tell by the sounds and the lights that the computer is working fine itself. I tried installing the old Dell drivers, and the issue is resolved. I'd really like to use the latest drivers, can anyone help me? Thanks. I forget where I read this - either on the Dell support site or in the driver release notes.
