click on the start icon in vista and the click the games tab in the start menu and then right click the bioshock icon in there, and click run in dx9.

Right click your shortcut and go to properties.

at 'target' add -dx9 at the end of the path

for example: Launcher.exe" -dx9

Just an example.

Worked for me :)

DUDE!!! YOU ARE FREAKING AWESOME!! OT TOTALLY WORKED, THANK YOU MAN I CAN FINALLY PLAY BIOSHOW IF I WAS A GIRL [not appropriate for this family friendly forum - Dox] HAHA, SEE YA TAKE CARE

The C:Program Files/2KGames/BioShock/builds/release/Bioshock.exe-dx9 specified in the Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct. what the heck do I do? I really want to play the game and I get the same error trying to play it normally.

"Sorry for the inconvinence BioShock must close."

please help :)
