Guest Gui
Hi, I would like to know if the MSI GX600 really use MXM or not, because as it written in the Laptop Table in the MXM-upgrade site, the laptop is supposed to use MXM. So, this if more a question for Ice-Tea, can you tell by the second picture in that site ( http://portables4gamers.wordpress.com/2007...gx600/#more-609 ) if it's possible to fit an mxm card in it ? Because in that site they are saying that it's not using MXM module. So thank you
Ice-Tea
Odd. There seems to be no MXM indeed. Let me see what I can find out..
Davidoff_P4G
I confirm that there is no module MXM in the GX600 and that the chip is directly welded on the mother board. :)
Guest Gui
Ok, thank you for your answers, to bad, it sounded to be like the best choice for a brand new laptop. Do you think this motherboard is just a prototype and they will implement one with a modular GPU? I don't think so, but I would have really wanted it to be modular. Davidoff_P4G
As I said it in this news, MSI prefers to make a new mother board with the new GPU rather than to use format MXM. That is less expensive for them. PS : Sorry for my English :) Edited September 20, 2007 by Davidoff_P4G
