What is the version number ?

MS might release it in August but the driver could be months old?

Synaptics are still using v9 drivers as official.

10.0.11.1 and I've got a version for both XP and Vista. It's too big to attach to this message, though.

Pieter, where can I upload it?

Ok, I may be blind.

But... where is the "disable touchpad when usb mouse present" options?

I am using the 10.0.11.1 driver, vista32, dell E1705

TIA!!

D.

I would also be interested in knowing this. Would be helpful when playing games in classes with small desks :)

Same here. Also looking for the "disable touchpad when usb mouse connected" option. Now mine has a ghost usb mouse that I have no clue where it is coming from (disabled now) but I miss the option from the drivers I was using before.

It's possible that the "ghost mouse" is coming from your bluetooth card (at least mine is)

With the new drivers here, I am still unable to find the "disable touchpad when usb pointer is detected"

I believe that they are "in" the drivers (as the readme and such say so) but they have to be included/enabled somehow.

One of these days I may go thru these drivers and see what I can find to enable that setting.... but for now the older dell provided ones are doing the trick (not perfectly, but livable)

Ahh... ok. That makes sense. I am using the widcomm bluetooth stack that came with my laptop. Weird how the bluetooth stack and the synaptic drivers that are both provided by dell would have an interaction issue like that. Oh well. On that note now I have to go and check something else out now.

Where were the v11 drivers found? Is there any chance of a version for 64-bit XP?

Looks like they came from x-drivers.com:

http://www.x-drivers.com/catalog/drivers/m...river/8148.html

And from the INF, it's customized for a Fujitsu model with Chiralmotion support. Interesting.. I'll try to mod this for the Acer Aspire 5920G when I have the time

Why don't you ask that in the appropiate Synaptics driver thread?
