UPDATE 2007-11-04: added DELL and SONY release, repacked & reuploaded. The SONY release comes with a Firmware Update for selected Go cards (use Firmware.exe). A lot of files in the DELL and SONY release differ from the original release (for NVIDIA, COMPAQ, LENOVO and HP), so i included the complete drivers for each in a subfolder (you'll see after extraction). Driver is latest available WHQL certified VISTA driver for SONY as of today!

Latest driver as of today (build only a week ago). Additionally WHQL.

98 mobile NVIDIA GPUs supported by 6 INFs.

To add on to this for HP users, delete the nvlt.inf and nvlt.cat in the folder, so you only have nvwh.inf and nvwh.cat

So far, these drivers are great for me, Aero is running nicely and no problems thus far.

These don't seem to support clock scaling (powermizer), unfortunately. If you want both scaling and overclocking the only one I found to do this is so far is 158.45 (on a 8600M GS). See my post about it here. I'm hoping they'll fix up those 160+ drivers to support both of those features soon...

For those with HP notebooks, use the nvwh.inf file inside the "original_inf(s).zip"

Hello,

I've got an HP Pavilion dv9217ea. I've got a Geforce Go 7600.

And I want to install thoses drivers 156.65.

You said that HP users have to use the original nvwh.inf and .cat and delete other inf (nvlt.inf and .cat).

But in this inf (nvwh.inf) there is no mention for Go 7600 !

the Geforce go 7600 (ID=0398) is present only in nv_dispd.inf in the "original_inf(s).zip" and in the modded inf "nvlt.inf".

What should I do to have the better choice ?

Thank you,

++

Miles

I followed the directions too for my hp tablet with 6150 integrated, and if you use that nvwh.inf it does not show my card, just the 8800 i believe. furthermore if i use the original .inf, my computer fails to boot. This is true for most of the releases, save for most recently, 163.69

all the others get to where windows should have loaded, then sits in a black screen for a whille, reboots, and asks if i want to repair my comp. I have tried all manner of driver cleaners, so it's not that.

Should i be using a different .inf? I don't get it, and it's frustrating!

Thank you all for any help

Works fine 4me (8600M GS too). I used the original nv_dispd.inf from the included zip-archive though, not the modded inf.

Maybe you should try that.

I love this driver: EVERYTHING just works on my XPS-M1330. No BSOD's or vague hickups

Good driver, it fixed the disabled color vibance found in the stock Lenovo driver for the Nvidia FX 570M. I'm coming from the ATI world where you can save profile and assign it a shortcut key. Can it be done with Nvidia panels? (e.g. CTRL + F1 for a given setting, CTRL + F2 for another)

I think this driver is great also because it's MADE for our Laptops and is a legit CURRENT mobile driver (as of 9/19/07)

I really think we should be using this for our cards instead of the latest 16x.xx, I gues eventually they'll release the 16x.xx for us mobile guys soon, hopefully.

Bug report: desktop color settings are removed when the laptop goes on sleep, or even screen saver mode. Clicking back on the color settings re-activates them.
