aceruser
HI Just brought the new ACER 5920g (H) which is the version with 8600m GS card (which I hadn't realised) instead of the 8600M GT. It has 256 MB memory. My questions are can I upgrade the GS to th GT ? Can I swap the old for the new? Is it worth it? Is it worth waiting for a new faster card which will hopefully work in my laptop Cheers for any help Edited September 28, 2007 by aceruser

__-_-_-__
You would spend lots of cash just to get a minor increase in performance. I do not recommend. Not worth it.
Ice-Tea
Chances are that yes, it is possible.
aceruser
thanks for that, just have to wait for a bigger upgrade path. Have some service manual details for this model if anybody is interested
