jrp
Loaded 163.75 Vista Drivers and Pieter's INF version 3.232 (thanks) onto Gericom Hollywood SLI (2x 7800), no indication of SLi, until I started up NHancer, it opened up with the green SLI icon with SLI detected & enabled, giving me all the sli/sli mode/slidx10 settings, after days of loading drivers have I finally cracked it, all I need to do now is work out how to use NHancer Ran Halflife 2 @ 1920x1200 with all setting on max for 3hrs no issues what so ever Great site, keep it going, perhaps the Alienware boys can try this driver, after all the Gericom is a Arima, and therefore a poor cousin to the Alienware.. .I bought mine for £700.00 on a one day special from Scan computers UK cheers jrp
RogerSilva
Hi all, I'm trying to install this driver on my VAIO Notebook with no success. Does somebody know if there are any further update needed on modded inf to make this driver work with VAIO notebooks?? My notebook is VAIO SZ430N/B running windows xp sp2. The issue is that when the driver installation finish, then the display's brightness is settle to minimum (So I can't see almost anything). However, raising display's brightness makes no effects after the driver installation. Is someone experiencing this same issue??Does someone know how to fix it?? thanks in advance, Roger
Guest GuestXL
hello, i tried this driver with my dell inspiron 9400/GO7900gs Videocard. I can't overclock with atitool (and at all), when using this driver. any update solving this issue available?
debaucher
Do you have your vid card flashed to an unlocked bios? If not, then you will not be able to OC. If so, then reinstall ATI tool etc to see if that helps (oh, and be sure to use 0.27b2 or newer of ATI tool) D.
Guest Guest
thanks for the response. i can oc with the 163.71 driver as well as with the older ones, and yes, i have an unlocked bios, oc usually is no problem. i use atitool 0.26, as the beta doesn't work on my system. Guest Guest
oh, and i think 0.27beta adds vista/dx10 compatibility only..

Black Cat
Just delete the following line in the modded INF and reinstall the driver : HKR,, EnableBrightnessControl, %REG_DWORD%, 1 Edited October 26, 2007 by ®®® Removed Full Quotation of Previous Post
Guest Guest
Works ok with my 8600m GT but my secondary monitor comes through in B&W :) so I'll have to settle for 163.69.
jecm88
Just noticed that the NVIDIA control panel doesn't work with the driver.
Guest Jaeryl
Is this for overclocking? If so, me too with my 7300 Go. I am noticing overall better performance with my games on stock settings though. But any Idea how I can overclock once more?
jecm88
No, not that I am aware of. I simply go to my Control Panel, double click the NVIDIA Control Panel button, and I get a "program encountered an unexpected error and must be shut down" message. It doesn't matter which button I hit, but I get the following error message. I haven't tried running any games yet.

Black Cat
RogerSilva, what are the last driver you can use ? I would like you to test version 163.44 Obviously delete your current driver the proper way (software - Uninstall Nvidia Driver - restart in safe mode - delete Nvidia Display leftovers using Driver Sweeper - install new driver - boot the normal way) If the version 163.44 works, try version 163.
RogerSilva
Hi Black Cat, thanks a lot for the hint. I'm going to try to install those drivers you've suggested, and post the results here as soon as possible, ok?? Should I make any update on those drivers modded inf??I mean, Should delete or include a EnableBrightnessControl line with some value?? By the way, should I also post here the logs generated by the NERD tool?? thanks in advance, Roger

Unfortunately, I've had no success with either drivers :) With driver version 163.51, I was able to install it successfully. However, When the installation finishes then the brightness are settle to minimum, thus I wasn't able to see anything. Then I tried to settle the brightness settings to normal with no success as F1...Fn keys weren't working... With driver version version 163.44, I was also able to install it successfully. I didn't experience the problem with brightness settings settle to minimum after installation process, but It still have the brightness control issue. I'm sending attached to this post the logs generated by the Nerd tool (I hope this information would be helpful). Please, May someone help me with this issue??or help me to investigate it further?? I appreciate any help you can give me, thanks in advance, Roger logs.zip
