Benchmark results for NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS (willandjenny)

hi all, i have a geforce 8400M GS for notebook and try to install 185.20 with modded inf. but when i restart the computer the resolution is changing to 800*600 and 4 colour. what should i do_? is this version not compatible with this card_?

For my 8400M GS it worked perfectly, but i recommend you instead of that the 181.20. It overclocks,too, and a bit faster.

185.20 =1498

i will try 181.20 and DOX 180.84.1 soon.

Here's some new test :

Driver : 179.28

Stock Clock : 1823

Driver : 181.20 DOX Balanced

Stock clock : 1800

O/C : Core - 600 , Mem - 450 : 2205 Wich is my new high score..

2GB RAM,

nVidia 8400M GS 256 DDR2 VRAM

Windows XP Pro SP3

Q. Which driver should I use : 179.44 or 169.04? Stock or OC?

Q. Which modded INF should I use?

Q. Which PhysX driver should I use? Will it work on this card(theoritically it does)?

Any other suggestions and pointers are welcome.

Well I have a sony vaio vgn-fz290 with 2gb ram 2 ghz core2duo and a nvidia 8400m gt 256 mb dedicated memory.. is it possible for me to install 182.08 which states that original inf only includes quadro models.. i tried to use 185.20 and now i am using 179.48 as it is the laptop version given on the main nvidia site. what do you suggest me to do? (the sleep function and the vga out doesnt work with these drivers anyway so any suggestions on that too? :) )

Hi, I'm trying to overclock my 8400M GS ddr2 as well but I don't know if this is a problem or not... I can raise my memory clock fine (using RivaTuner 2.24) but I can't raise the core unless I increase my shader clock first. Is this normal? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

I'm using Dox's 182.05 drivers and my laptop is dv6500t btw...

The Type of Notebook dont matters - it must be only from a 8400m gs Gpu...

( Flashed by foult my Card with a 8600m gs vBIOS :-()
