Guest mentalcrisis00
finaly a driver that allows my 8600M gt run team fortress 2 reliably most of the time, before i'd only be able to play for about 15 minutes before it'd crash, played today for an hour with one lockup that the system recovered from. Leo
Is there a an Dell INF as the modded INFs do not work for me as they cause desktop screen corruption within a few minutes.
Anchel
Woah! This driver is horribly slower! I only had to try Flip 3D to see it working choppy. Then I tested Bioshock and, while I couldn't get any numbers on framerates, I could see it was working a little bit choppier on my 8600M GS on a 1024 x 768 resolution. So far I can't recommend a driver that slows down Vista in general...
Raphie
So go, or no go? compared to 156.66 using the original Dell inf?
Guest gaervern
I am more concerned with stability than extreme performance and OC. After five days with 156.66, I had two crashes that could related to screen driver. I decided to try 156.72, with INF v3.228. After one day I am happy, but control panel no longer recognizes dual screens correctly in the resolution and scaling pages. Both are called 'Laptop Display'. Could it be related to the modded inf? Guest gaervern
What mods did you have to make for the dell ? Can you post the inf? I am searching everywere for a good 7900 GS driver I didn.t make any mods, used the modded inf linked to on top of this page, only then it was v3.228. Now it is v3.229. Don't know if that is any more difficult to install. Anyway, the difference between the versions is described here: http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/index....ost&p=59360
