Uninstalled nVidia Driver

I was having problems playing a game that I just installed, so I looked up my problem and I had to upgrade my driver. I was instructed to uninstall my current nVidia driver in order to upgrade it. I restarted my computer and it began searching for a driver, so I cancelled it. Then I looked up some drivers in this site, but after my laptop extracted it, nothing happened. Even after waiting for five minutes, no other pop-up occurred to run a program for the driver. Is that supposed to happen? I'm worried since my laptop has no driver right now and whenever I restart the computer, the automatic search for a driver doesn't run. Please help me :)
