torahtrance
I've been searching everywhere for an answer to my HDMI problem! New LG 1080p 42' LCD at my friends that is not working or at least not being detected by my laptop. I have it plugged in, try looking at the fn + f5 display to 'switch over' to the HDMI, but it seems to only show up the LCD screen. I read in the user guide normally it just needs to be plugged in, and then it will auto detect. However its not auto-detecting or doing anything when I plug it in... Anyone got any wise advise?? mobilenvidia
Are you using the Toshiba driver ? This will probably be best at the moment for HDMI as toshiba drivers need a swag of tweaks to get it to work. My next project is to get this to work properly in the modded iNFs as I have similar problems with DVI out to my HDMI TV
Da Ferret
another user had the same issue on their HDTV and change the following line fixed it for them. I could be wrong as i am unaware of the toshibas but it works with dells. HKLM,"SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak", NvCplForceDFPToEvaluateAsLVDS, %REG_DWORD%, 1 Needs to be changed to 0 to resolve this issue.
