Can anyone tell me if this modification will allow me to install 8600m GT graphics drivers under XP, even though my laptop (An ACER 5920G) is supposed to be 'Vista only' ? I tried loading XP (..not happy with Vista at all) on laptop - which went fine - but the XP graphics drivers I downloaded from Nvidia promptly announced that they would not install on Vista hardware, and aborted the installation?
