I have now tried to install 169.01, and 169.02, and I get BSOD everytime. I have removed old driver, used DriverClean, installed original Driver,removed original Driver, but no matter what I try, I get BSOD with these drivers.

But when I install 163.67, that one workes! :)

Dammit, I want to try one of those new ones....

Anyone?

Toshiba x200, with 8700M GT, vista 32, home Premium. 3 gig ram.

Toshiba x200 are real touchy, BSOD (never ending cycle) at the store when I tried to OC it with nTune.

IT HAD A 8700M GT IN IT, I HAD TO SEE THE OC 3DMark'06 SCORE! (Anyone read Megetokyo...AMD Athlon XP, "Must OC!" :) )

What was supposed to be fixed or Updated in this driver?

I noticed that 169.01 didn't work too well with Crysis and overclocking - ONLY with Crysis, Bioshock ran better than ever. Also, I got a few BSOD upon booting up with 169.01.

169.01 may have ran the full install of Bioshock great, but the demo crashed to windows media center upon exiting to desktop. Also scaling on the Bioshock demo had issues. I also noticed that the need for speed hot pursuit demo had washed out colors on the cars... But it ran incredibly well with the 169.01.

So hopefully 169.02 will be better, and still retain the higher benchmarks.. Time will tell. Downloading now.

I can play on medium in crysis now without getting 5 FPS, but my FPS is still low, like 10 - 20.

Tank killer - Try running Crysis in DX9 mode instead of the default of DX10. You'll get a huge boost in framerate. I've done this in vista 32bit and am getting 20-30 framerate - Not the best, but very playable. Settings are a mixed bag of med and low.

It's a great thread for Crysis.

I see at least a 5 frame rate drop with these drivers. Also, if I overclock I get an almost immediate lockup of the Crysis. This results in a BSOD at reboot. IRQL issue. POS vista won't let me in safe mode. Very annoying.

works good with my 8600M GT

but no FPS increase (169.01 -> 169.02)

Laptopvideo2go: Why have you made topics early this day for the 168.04 drivers and now deleted them?? :)

I hope you put them online fast :)
