However you can enable it in DX9 by creating a file named system.cfg in the Crysis SP Demo folder and adding con_restricted = 0 r_UsePom=1 r_sunshafts=1 con_restricted = 0 lets you use commands in the console if you like to tweak. UsePom adds Parallax Occlusion Mapping, giving depth to some otherwise flat textures. Sunshafts adds volumetric lighting effects, most apparent underwater or looking at the sun through foliage.
