Guest Exey!
Do these drivers come with the PowerMizer 7.0 options in the control panel? It sucks that Vista has to handle that and not us, boy did I love that feature in my good old xP. The problem is... i love vista's overall enchacements! lollll
Guest Guest
Oo let us know about team fortress 2. The 16x.xx series drivers never seem 100% at being stable for sleep and waking.
Mr_Ed
seems like this driver is a keeper for me. both the witcher and teamfortressly runs flawless so far, and i have no probs with the sleep & wake up function but then again i never had. drewbot
I always got that dreaded nvlddmkm error with 101.43 by dell, 156.61 by dell, and the other 156.65-.66 drivers that natively supported my 8600M GT. But now with 156.69, it looks like it fixed it for me at least....for now
Guest tristamus
ok....i installed the on my xps 1730, and STILL no SLI on my 8700M GT's =( this is sad..
®®®
added more INFs, repacked and reuploaded. All INFs are WHQL. (see first post)
Raphie
These drivers give a brighter output on my panel and external display via HDMI in Extended Desktop. PQ improved significantly....... (Dell XPS-M1330)
Guest Guest
STILL doesnt work with SLI. I cleaned out my previous install of these frivers after I learned you added more INF's, and did the whole drive cleaner pro thing. I then re-installed it with the new modded inf's, and enabled the SLI after installation completed. Computer restarted, got back to desktop, ran 3dmark06, still no sign of both GPU's (8700M GT's) working =(

Raphie
Also this driver remembers Extended Desktop settings when unplugging monitor /reconnecting monitor via HDMI previous driver kept restoring windows to extended desktop while display as single previous driver did not restore extended desktop when LCD was reconnected via HDMI Edited November 1, 2007 by Raphie
WetSawdustDemon
Hi there, These are from Dell, I can't find them on thier website though, so how did you get them? I guess I should use them unmodifed with my XPS1710 (with Go 7950GTX) is that right? Will let you know how I get on. Cheers, Paul

Guest doubleblack
No, those are 156.55 If you have a Dell with a 8400GS is there any advantage to still using the modded INF's to get special powermizer settings or something? Guest Guest
Can anybody mod the Toshiba version of the inf (nvts.inf), or at least give me instructions on how to mod the inf's? I have a Toshiba P105-S6217 with a Geforce Go 7300 running Vista Home Premium 32-bit. The original Toshiba inf (nvts.inf) said my hardware wasn't compatible with the driver, even though it supposedly supports Geforce Go 7300's. Then the modded Dell inf caused my laptop to not be able to startup, so I had to restore my computer. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Guest Guest
Typically ,how does the performance compare between the 156.xx series vs the 16x.xx series?
Anchel
Ok so I have been testing these drivers for a while already, and I have to say that they have fixed all my previous problems on my Sony VAIO FZ21S! Flip3D used to be a little bit choppy (not much though) and now it works so smooth that it surprised me. I hadn't seen Flip3D work like that before! Oh, but alright, Flip3D isn't exactly what all of you may want to hear about these drivers, so let's go on: So far these are the best drivers running Crysis for me. Not the 169.xx drivers, but these. I once mentioned in these forums that the water looked great, but had a broken reflect effect in which the reflection wouldn't match the object it was trying to reflect (causing some funny-looking views). Now, with this driver, it is finally fixed! And not to mention that Crysis is running much faster this time around. At 1024 x 768 I can run with most things on high-medium. And take into account that I NEVER overclock my graphics card. Also these drivers can play HD content found on commercial Blu-Ray movies (I mentioned how the 169.xx drivers locked the playback of Blu-Ray movies in this thread: http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/index....ost&p=60957 I will post more as I keep testing. Guest Guest
I've installed these driver on my XPS M1730. SLI is working PERFECTLY!!! I score 8320 on 3DMark2006.
Guest rpringle
I have a Dell Vostro 1500 with an 8600MGT chip running win vista basic and this driver is the best i've tried to date. Before when I'd play team fortress 2 it would run alright for about 30 minutes to and hour then either crash or give me huge visual fragments and i'd have to shut down the program anyway. But let me just say that I played Team Fortress 2 for 2 hours today without a crash or graphics error, and I was even able to get about 5 more frames in game with this driver. I also played guild wars and stalker much smoother with this driver, 156.69 is a winner
Guest doubleblack
Okay, so I have a Dell with a 8400GS...is there any advantage to still using the modded INF's instead of the WHQL one to get special tweaks or optimizations or something? Oh, and which one are most people getting better experiences with? 156.73 or this (156.69)
