George Benko
I have this brand new laptop that came with VISTA and now I have XP on it. I'm looking for a working XP VIdeo driver. The model of this HP laptop is dv6663cl. The video card is supposed to be GeForce 8400M GS. I have tried all dell/hp drivers that looked like might work but does not. They all get the same message that it couldn't find a compatible driver. Let me know if any knows what driver to download. I tried the latest driver i found on this website. It didn't work. Guest Guest
Did you remember to use the modified INF file?
George Benko
I'm sorry I'm not sure what that is? Could you help me out?
Guest Guest
It's very easy. When you got to the screen that has the link to download the driver you want, right next to it is a link that says modified INF. Download that as well. After you extract the driver file into a folder, take the modified INF file and place it into the extracted folder. You will be prompted to overwrite the file. Say yes. This will allow for your computer to install the driver. Run the setup.exe and the rest takes care of itself. Happy gamming.
Guest guest
Hey moderator, Out of curiosity how come you don't just place the modified INF inside the driver zip file anyway? :)

®®®
Hey moderator,Out of curiosity how come you don't just place the modified INF inside the driver zip file anyway? :) Because we are the only ones on this globe who keep the original driver as intact as possible. No DLL hacking, no replacement of INF, no nothing. That's what saved us from beeing sued by NVIDIA apparantly. If any qucik INF modifications is needed (or a whole bunch gets updated, it's a thing of a minute to reupload the fixed INF instead of repacking the complete driver. At least that's what we do here since 3 or 4 years the and the very existance of LaptopVideo2Go and there's no plan to change that.
