Guest Mogul
Okay, let me start off by saying that I am completely at your mercy. I do not know anything about this at all, but I was referred here through another forum, and you guys seem extremely knowledgeable. Let me give you the specifics of my computer. First, it is a Hypersonic laptop (I have bought from them before, they are a small boutique type store that makes excellent laptops www.hypersonic-pc.com). This is my setup: Windows Vista Home Premium Intel Core Duo T7500 @ 2.20 GHz 3.00 GB of RAM NVIDIA GeForce 8600m GT With the help of a techie type friend over vent I was able to figure out which driver I have by going to Device Manager, clicking on it, right clicking on my card and going to properties and going to the drivers tab. It says my driver date is 4/42007 and the driver version is: 7.15.11.108 Now I used the scanner that checks online and looks to see if I'm updated and it says I am, but I am having problems with Team Fortress 2 having graphical errors and Crysis running a bit slow. After lurking a bit on your site, I saw a few posts about my graphics card and I was seeing drivers like 169.01 talked about so I googled and downloaded, but upon installing it said that there are no compatible drivers for it to use and said it would close (this has happened with other drivers I tried to download, like the one NVIDIA told me to download, 163.something). I don't know what to do, so if you guys could please help me out and walk me through it slowly as if I was very very very stupid I'd appreciate it. Please be gentle. Thanks.
