I just disabled the UAC feature and Vista opened up for me like XP.

There are some benefits but you'll only see some of the usefulness of the 8x00M series with Vista you won't see in XP. All the new PowerMizer, DX10, and other key features are now geared and tied into Vista.

Frankly, I don't miss XP.

Sadly It looks as if Alienware is pulling out of AMD products.
