Guest Marco
Hi everyone, I have a HP 8710w with a Quadro FX 1600M. Somewhere I read that I can install 8xxx Driver for the device. I downloaded the 163.75 for XP and replaced the inf file. The card will always be detected as an FX1600. Thats fine but not want I want :) Someone here who can give me some hints ? Bill
What exactly do you want? Are you trying to soft mod your card into a GeForce or something? (which won't get you anywhere)
Guest Kenn Brown
Similar goal, different person. Here is my dilemma. We purchased a Dell M6300 with a Quadro 1600m graphics card. This card in its current form will not support our external Dell 30" monitor at 2550x1600. The 1600m card as well as the 8700m DO support DVI-D. How do I mod the card so I can get DVI-D 2550x1600? I thought about flashing the card bios with the 8700m bios, and then discovered that the HP 8710w has the same 1600m graphics card that will support the maximum 30" rez. Any thoughts on my dillemma?
