Guest IchTuMalWas
I have a Dell with a NVIDIA Go 7900 GS graphic chip. since some time I am not able to play games like fifa 08 or star wars empire at war because of hanging graphics and a feelling like slow motion. No smooth playing possible. DxDiag for Active X shows no problem. Installed driver 6.14.0010.8427 nv4_disp.dll. DirectX 9.0c4.09.0000.0904. 1GB Ram, Intel Core Duo1.83GHz Does anyone have an idea how to start to search for the problem? The first contact to the Dell hotline was totally useless... Thanks for any respons
Guest MaD_MaX
your graphics might not be the problem. if so, uninstall your drivers and reinstall them. try to see first if you computer has enough space for your OS. Then try to clean up your machine a little bit (antivirus/antispyware scan) and empty the temp folders (ultimately you could scan your registry to see if it is ok). Last thing, monitor the programs running in background and try to locate the ones using lots of RAM and try to shut them off (be sure it is not essential to your OS). antivirus : www.antivir.com antispyware : www.safer-networking.org/ registry scanner : www.pctools.com/registry-mechanic/offer.php temp cleaner : www.ccleaner.com normally with all this you could have less problems
Guest feplazas
YOUR VIDEO CARD IS BIOS LOCKED ON LOW FREQUENCIES. DELL LOCKS CARDS AT LOW SPEEDS SO THEY WONT HEAT UP. YOU HAVE TO FLASH YOUR CARD WITH AN UNLOCKED BIOS, SO YOU CAN OVERCLOCK IT. FOLLOW THIS LINK http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/index....637&hl=9400 DO EXACTLY AS THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY!!!! your graphics might not be the problem. if so, uninstall your drivers and reinstall them.try to see first if you computer has enough space for your OS.
