Need help with Lags

Hi there :)

Hope you guys can help me. I have some serious lags with games like Jericho, Gears of War or The Witcher. The game runs 100% and then it starts lagging for a few minutes and afterwards runs fine again...and this keeps up until the day ends. (This happend with all the new drivers)

I installed the driver 91 and then those lags disappeared. Does anyone know that problem ? Is there a way to solve it and still be able to use the new drivers ?

I have a Geforce 7950 GTX 512

Intel Core 2 Duo 2 Ghz

2048 DDRam

Windows XP

Hope you have a idea about that because I'm completely clueless.

Thanks already and a nice Sunday to you all :)

I think your card could only be overheating, get the i8kfan software to manually control your cooling fans, or did you remember to use the Driver Sweeper software in safe mode after you removed your old video drivers, maybe little scrapes of your old drivers are interfering with the new one. check the links below...

i have a nvidia 7900gs card 256mb with core duo 1.73ghz and 2gb of ram, all my games runs really good.(Gears of war, jericho, call of duty 4, medal of honor airborne with everything on high including resolution at 1400x900, the reason i pull it off is because of good driver maintenance)...i mean it doesn't matter if you have a powerhouse machine, bad drivers will cause a Core duo extreme to run like a solo petium 4....Drivers are important.

Uninstalled Drivers, used the program in safe mod and reinstalled the newest geforce drivers...didn't help. Still lagging. And if it would be because of the temperature, then why is it not lagging with old drivers ?
