Batumulia
Probably with Rivatuner, is it worth to upgrade from 169.04?
thegr8anand
Cant overclock either with this or the previous 169.09. I was able to install the driver using the Have disk method even if the setup was not starting.

Guest Bullfrog
i have an 8600m GS in my benq s41, only 256mb dedicated, using 169.04 drivers and get 2939 for my 3dmark06... i think the memory is gddr3 which makes a difference? I think mine's Gddr3 too, but i'm not sure. What processor are you running? Or should processor speed even affect the score? isn't 3dmark scores based on GPU only? Batumulia
Well I can't overclock, once I adjust the memory and click "Apply" in rivatuner (latest version), it puts the settings back to factory settings.

I got a lower performance in BF2 and Crysis than 169.09 I think this is not a nice driver I will go back to use 169.

Guest tasulm
guys i have 8600mgs, it supports dx10 but i performs better on dx9, and there is not much difference in the quality. is there any way i can play dx10 games (crysis etc) with dx9 enabled? dx10 just slows down the performance of my card. can i make games "ignore" tha i have a dx10 card? If I put the Crysis Shortcut into my Games folder of the Start Menu, Right-Clicking brings up the normal menu. 3. Right Clicking the Crysis.exe doesnt bring up the option to choose between either DX9 or DX10.

If you installed Crysis correctly it should show up automatically in your Games folder, which can be accessed from the Start menu. If you don't see it there you may need to re-install. Already tried that. I just used the cheap solution and renamed the DX9 file to the DX10 file and made a bakup of the old one.
Guest Guest
So... in conclusion, this driver gave no one a performance upgrade nor does it fix a significant bug; however, it drops performance for several people.
Guest souroull
ok i noticed quit a bit of you have a G1S. i wanted to ask you what kind of temperatures you're getting at idle and full load, cause mine go up to 107 celcius just by playing wow. i used rivatuner and nview to monitor temps. it seems that it will hang at 97ish for a bit or quite a while and then shoot up to 107 under load. its weird. any input is appreciated. sorry for the off topic.
