New guy here,

Just a quick question, I have been researching and found it possible to upgrade to a 7600go from my m6600 alienware m5500. But can it go to 8600m? I found this website and makes me curious..

It says it is for Asus, but if it is MXM type 2, then wouldn't it be able to work on all type 2 slots?

Fraid not. As Ice-Tea discovered, MXM rev2 II(and others) dont work in MXM rev1 slots. The 7950, and so far all 8X00/HD2X00 mxms have lacked backwards compatibility, sqrewing over alot of peoples hopes. Its a pity, but oh well.

Also... many asus ones are a bit... weird. Ask someone who pays more attention there for more info.

Listen to what Guest_James said go to that website and post!, as far as I know that graphics card is only compatible with the C90S, I hope they release the 8800M GT for the C90s!
