Wind!crap
Driver download link doesn't work x_X! Auto download for .INF file also doesnt work. It just opens the file. Sure you can copy the whole script and save it to notepad but it would be much easier if we could DL the actual -INF file right? And thanks for the update.. heh I just upgraded to .13 and a new one already.. Hope the Download get fix soon. TY again.
mobilenvidia
Driver works fine, yes INF is a weird thing, just right click and 'save as'
Fenuxx
Heads up Pieter: These don't install. Tried both Have Disk method and using Setup.exe. Setup just runs straight through, and nothing is installed. Using Have-Disk, still nothing installs, but reports a "File Not Found" error, but with no file reported as not found. Trying to find a solution/workaround as we speak, but I'm at a loss at the moment, everything looks right.
Fenuxx
OK, got the error: !!! flq: Error installing file (0x00000002)!!! flq: Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified. ! flq: SourceFile - 'e:\temp\16917_vista32\nvuninst.exe' ! flq: TargetFile - 'C:\Users\Tony\{fa157f03-de40-4e2b-89f5-ee84ee9d7eae}\nvuninst.exe' flq: {SPFILENOTIFY_COPYERROR} flq: {SPFILENOTIFY_COPYERROR - returned 0x00000000} Makes sense too, no nvuninst.exe in the driver package. But, there's your error. :) Edited December 7, 2007 by GeForceTony

Fenuxx
So is that why all the Desktop/Mobile PCI-ID's and GPU strings are bunched together? Kinda threw me off for a minute. :)

ByronGman
Are these Drivers optimized for Crysis and patch like 169.13? Haha, the patch isn't even out and already driver upgrade.

debaucher
Ok, First thing.... great to see the site up and running again. Next.... With this driver, you are still unable to software OC. I have tried ATITOOL 0.27b3 with the hotfix (some call it 0.27b4) as well as rivatuner 2.06 Other than that, these seem to be pretty good drivers in the one game I have tested them in (Overlord) My system is an E1705, 2500M Quadro, Vista32 D. Guest Moochi
I forget one important thingThis driver will reset your Video Card settings in the control plane Finally I can post! Geez freaking Image Security won't load. This driver works smoothly on my Go 6800 card. Good FPS in WoW, CoD4, World in Conflict, Timeshift and etc. To fix the problem from reseting video card settings in every restart, you have to set your setting and then SAVE profile. On the profile section, Load Profile on Windows Startup. You need nvidia nTuner to do this. Also reason why I went from RivaTuner -> nTuner because nTuner has support with Powermizer or some sore of slow down the clock speed when I am not gaming (automatically) instead of manually set clock speed with Hotkeys in RivaTuner. karl_w_w
Works better than an other v169 on my GO 7300 (other v169s gave BSOD on shutdown or the occasional 1 second freeze under heavy load etc.) still not perfect though (screen will flash black in rare cases). 3Dmark06 tells me it's as good as v169.13 (which was the fastest so far.) These v169s seem to be getting better :) I would venture that this is the best driver so far for most GOs (as long as you can get yours to overclock that is :) )
anothermike69
Looking good on my laptop. I can overclock these with rivatuner 2.06. 575/475. No crashing, everything working well. Better performance in GoW, haven't tried anything else.
Guest Izzy
I believe these drivers were released for the sole purpose of increasing performance in FFXI. I think it's somewhere in the release notes.
Guest Damocles
I jst upgraded my Asus G1S to these drivers, my old ones were stock release 100's I think. I noticed about a 175 point jump in 3dMark06 when I installed these. Problem is is that I also am noticing a pulsing effect when I play games. It runs smooth but it seems to pause for a split second at regular intervals in both Timeshift Unreal Tourny 3 and Everquest2. Is this driver related? Or do I need to make a change in settings? Thanks
V-X2
... still not perfect though (screen will flash black in rare cases).... There's a [temporary] fix for that - it's usually caused by the OS timing out too early before the GPU has enough time to finish what it's working on, as explained here. I've managed to fix this problem (for the most part) with a simple registry entry. Nope, I'm not posting the registration entry file here - there's been way too many people getting scammed by them, instead, I'm posting the actual code here (don't forget to backup your registry!!): Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers] "TdrDelay"=dword:00000005 "TdrDebugMode"=dword:00000003 Basically, what this does is extending the wait time before the timeout from a default of 2 seconds (that's pretty short) to 5 seconds. Next, if the GPU still hasn't recovered, Vista will forcefully recover the GPU even if some recovery conditions are not met - eg, recoveries on consecutive timeouts (by default, Vista may not attempt to recover the GPU in certain conditions). This fix has significantly reduced my number of blackouts from an average of [at least] 3 per Windows session (sometimes I get up to 8 per Windows session) to none at all! If your screen frequently blacks out after you close the lid and open it, this fix works as well - now all I get after opening the lid is slight sluggishness of the cursor for about 3-4 seconds, then it speeds up back to normal, no annoying blackouts whatsoever. Hope this tip helps, V-X2 Btw, you guys ever wondered what happens if your GPU fails to recover? I just found out that day after a driver update - it BSODs with some message about the GPU failing to recover... Just thought you guys might want to know...
