Guest VinylPusher Posted December 9, 2007 Report Share Posted December 9, 2007 These drivers do not work properly in SLI on my laptop (Dell XPS M1730, dual 8700's). On enabling SLi, almost every reboot sees Windows fail to load (hangs just before the "Welcome" screen). Taken me 2 days to figure this out because I'm an idiot :) Cold boots are always successful. I am suddenly able to play Bioshock on my laptop when I updated, but now when I try and watch an episode of bleach or scrubs or w/e it lags when playing, the lip syncing is off and what not, and it is not just with the ones I have downloaded recently I went back and watched some old episodes and it does the same thing. Going back to older drivers did not do the trick. I used VLC for everything and it worked fine. I had to switch to media player classic included within the K-Lite codec pack. Inf from this driver should work with some driver version number modifications. None of these drivers are any better with Crysis though without the patch they have promised, and failed to deliver. I am using a macbook pro (running XP Pro on boot camp) and while I'm able to run my other games nicely thanks to this, I cant play Star Wars Republic Commando at all. What's up guys? Using a GeForce 8600M GT. Little surprised when BioShock/Unreal 3 run great but Republic Commando not starting lol. Should I just switch to 169.21?
