Sinth
Have any of you found driver`s for vista that make UT3 run smoothly without stuttering? i.e Deck. Thankyou in advance. Stu p.s My banged up pc with a 6800 gpu on xp runs pretty well on low res. DX9 via Vista above. Edited December 13, 2007 by Sinth
Bill
163.75 is supposed to have the hitching workaround. But why do you use a joke operating system and expect to play games on it anyway?

I beg your pardon? Nice to meet you to. A bit of a sweeping statement imo. Yes vista does not perform as well as xp but it is getting closer, especially if you use force dx9 and not 10. It`s not my fault that my laptop came with vista and had to learn how to get the best out of it. I know XP like the back of my hand like you probably do but comments like that are a bit "weird" m8. Thanks for the version driver info.
Bill
You could have bought a laptop with XP, or Linux, or nothing (like I did). I will never understand how you guys can put down money for that stuff. All that DRM, self deactivation, incompatibility, broken audio paths, slow performance, less graphical features due to DRM.... You could write a book about why linux or even XP is a better option. Giving MS more money by buying laptops with Vista doesn't help us to get a better quality OS. This doesnt seem like very "Moderator ish behavior" the guy came asking for advice, not your sarcasm... imo. Alot of use Vista, I do, I like it just fine, if you got a grudge against MS go punch a Pillow because they arent going anywhere. to the OP... Personally I play on PS3, but the best drivers I have played around with are 169.01... Have you tried these? Your GFX card is a bit old though, so Im not ENTIRELY sure what would be best for you. I have found these 196.25 drivers work reallly well for UT and racked up 13300 points in 3dmark 03. I kow that`s an old benchmark but still 2k higher than my last effort. Used driver sweeper from guru3d first which I have never done before installing new drivers.
